Freebie Part 2

I'm scheduled back with the surgeon tomorrow morning. Hopefully, he'll tell me that all is well and I'm able to return to work at least part-time. I'm getting a tad bit bored here at the house, although I have plenty to do to get ready for the holidays. I just can't spend entire days working on the house!

This afternoon, I'm going to the doctor with my 17 yr old DD. She was at the doc's office last week with a sinus infection and just finished her antibiotics yesterday. Today she called me from school with complaints that she couldn't hear from her left ear, had a sore throat, a horrible headache and an earache. I went to check on her and tried to look inside her ear but couldn't see anything because it looks like it's swollen shut. So I called the doc who said to bring her in after lunch. I'll update y'all later this evening.

I swear, when it rains, it pours! ~sigh~

Festive Fall Freebie Part 1

I returned to the doctor today. He said my ears looked better and all appears to be going well. But there's really no way to be sure about that mastoid bone without another CT. I return to the surgeon again next week for him to check everything and decide when the next CT will be done. So I still don't have any truly definitive answers. But when I do, I'll sure be posting about it!

Scrapbook Preview & Freebie

A friend of ours asked DH to take some pics for her this weekend. She wanted a Fall scrap page that she could put in an 8x10 frame. So this is what I made for her.



I made the papers from overlays over at the Ephemeral Victorian. They have some GREAT templates to make all sorts of papers and elements. And best of all, they're FREE!

I also made a little freebie mini-kit from some of the parts of this QP. The papers are 12x12 in 300 dpi, saved as jpg's. The leaves and vine are saved as png's. Here's a preview:

About the Same

I'm about the same; I can't say that I'm feeling any better. I ache all over, especially in my jaw, neck, back and chest, as if I have a bad case of the flu in the top half of my body. I'm still taking my antibiotics but don't really feel that they've "kicked in" yet. I'm really struggling to keep a positive attitude and outlook but can become tearful at the drop of a hat this week.

I'm trying really hard to keep myself mentally occupied. I'm playing with my scrapping again. But that's difficult too because I can't stay at the computer more than a half hour or so at a time; my right eye starts throbbing. But thought I'd share with you some of the kits I'm playing with at the moment:
