Head Update

Sorry I haven't finished up the elements download for my Valentine's kit yet. Life just gets in the way of my Paintshop playground sometimes. I'll try to finish that up and maybe make a few more brag book pages this weekend.

My FP agreed that the PT for the facial muscles was helping and agreed to let me continue. I go back to the PT today so they can add weights to the stimulator. Weight training for the face...now this is going to be interesting! *LOL* He also changed my Clarinex to Clarinex D, trying to clear up my head until my allergy tests next month. I'm assuming this has done something, but not sure what at this point. After 3 doses, I now get a bloody nose when using more than one flight of stairs. I can go up and down the stairs at home without problems. But the elevator at work went down yesterday; and every time I used the stairs, I would get a bloody nose. So I'm assuming that the new med is indeed drying me out somewhat?

I'll be back later this evening or tomorrow with some pics of DD's 4H project for this year. She has made a complete accessory ensemble out of pop can tabs. It's really cute! And after her presentation at the State competitions, I'll post the instructions if anyone wants them.

Hope y'all are having a great week.

Valentine Kit Freebie

I'm trying to finish up my kit this weekend. I made a preview with some of the papers and elements so you could see it. All of the papers and elements are 300 dpi. However, many of the papers and elements are made to fit a 4x6 cards or brag book pages since that was the original intent for my personal use. But if you can use any of these for your personal use, please feel free to do so. Here's a sneak peak:

Here is the download for some of the papers.

There's another freebie over at Teriann Hanks' blog. She's also having a 50% off sale on all her kits and templates. The coupon code is on her website. Head on over and check it out! :)

More Valentine Freebies & An Update

I know; I'm running behind yet again! ~sigh~ I'm sorry.

I went to the ENT yesterday. After several tests, he states that I'm doing well and show no signs of hearing loss or infection. However, the chronic tinnitis is louder than the sounds I'm hearing. He thinks it is linked to an allergy because my histimine release is on overdrive, even with me being on daily doses of Clarinex and Veramyst. So he's ordering up a day of allergy testing next month to see if they can identify what's causing me to react this way.

I go back to my family doc tomorrow for a follow up and for him to check if there is any improvement from the facial physical therapy he so graciously agreed to let me try for this atrophy on my head. I'm proud of my progress. I don't know that it shows on my face yet. But I can feel a difference in my eyebrow, eyelid and jaw line. I can know open my mouth fully and can ALMOST raise both eyebrows simultaneously to the same height. My right eyebrow is just the slightest bit lower than my left now. So I'm hoping he will feel this is progress and will agree to let me continue with this therapy for a while longer.

Ok, here is the next Freebie template card. Don't forget to check out the cards below in the older posts too! :)

Valentine Card #4

I had the day off today for MLK holiday. I worked some on my beaded ornies for next year, did some laundry and started a new front door sign. I had planned to clean and declutter the craft room and dining room today. But I haven't felt good all day long. My head is hurting really bad today. And I'm having trouble with dizziness when I change positions. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning; so I'll see what he says about this latest development.

Here's the next card. Hopefully tomorrow I can put up a preview of the kit I'll be posting later.

Here is a sample of card #3 that will be available today. The papers and elements from my cards will be available as a free kit later in the month.

Valentine Cards

I know it's been a long time since I've blogged. I'm sorry. Between home, work, health, kids, dogs and holidays, it's been rather busy around here.

I've been playing in PSP again and some of the freebies from Creative Victorian and created some Valentine cards. I then decided to take the papers and elements from the cards and make a freebie kit and QPs to give away. So check back daily to see what parts I list for download :)

I've returned to work full time now. I'm still struggling to decrease the atrophy that is setting into my temporalis muscle. I'm using electrical stimulation daily and just praying that it helps and prevents further atrophy. I still have the ringing in my ears and have had some hearing loss. I go to a specialist next week to see if he can help with my ears and sinuses. I'll try to do better at keeping y'all posted as I go along.

We're getting snow here in the mountains this week. It's absolutely beautiful! I don't mind when it snows over the weekend, just as long as it's gone by Monday. *LOL*

Here is the first Valentine card that I made. I've saved it as a quick page with a transparent area for your picture. Please remember that my freebies are for personal use only. You can download it here.
